Permission 2 Grieve

https://www.youtube.com/@P2GPODCAST

Everyone grieves differently, and there is no one “right” answer for how to cope when impacted by abortion, adoption placement, infertility, miscarriage, and stillbirth. Tune into P2G to hear from Brittany Mitchelle, a Marriage and Family Therapist, and Becky Morales, a Grief Specialist who oversees reproductive loss retreats and support groups, as they explore the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual elements of reproductive loss.

Online Healing Pathways – After Abortion Healing

https://yourabortionexperience.org/en

It is common for some who have gone through an abortion to experience thoughts and emotions that are difficult to process. These uneasy feelings can come on immediately or suddenly hit you weeks or even years after the procedure.

Has your mind, body, or soul been impacted? RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics is working with an online after-abortion care program called Your Abortion Experience. It is a confidential space that serves as a refuge for those who wish to begin the process of healing. This process includes building support, exploring emotions, and identifying loss.

This healing pathway is a starting point for reflection and healing regarding the personal impact of abortion. Each person will go through the process differently. We encourage you to explore the site.

Miscarriage Support

It is very normal to become emotionally distressed or unsteady following a miscarriage. The most important thing to know is that you are not alone in the experience. It is estimated that 10-25% of women are affected by miscarriage.  Women may experience a roller coaster of emotions like numbness, disbelief, anger, guilt, sadness, depression, and difficulty concentrating.

Even if the pregnancy ends very early, the sense of bonding between a mother and her baby can be strong. Symptoms to watch for include fatigue, trouble sleeping, difficulty concentrating, loss of appetite, and frequent episodes of crying. The hormonal changes that occur after miscarriage may intensify these symptoms.

Unfortunately, miscarriage can affect anyone. Women are often left with unanswered questions regarding their physical recovery, their emotional recovery, and trying to conceive again. It is very important that women try to keep the lines of communication open with family, friends, and healthcare providers during this time.

RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics can connect you with a resource that can help called Miscarriage Hurts…Hope After Loss. It is a confidential space that serves as a refuge for those who wish to begin the process of healing. The process includes building support, exploring emotions, and identifying loss.
